Sarah Krueger

Psychologist

Sarah uses a strength based therapeutic approach which is warm, client-centred and collaborative.  She works closely with all clients to develop clear therapy goals which are regularly reviewed to ensure progress, making adjustments to the process as needed.

Sarah works with teens and adults using evidence-based frameworks to tailor her therapeutic approach to the individual needs of the client. She focuses on providing tools and skill building strategies to build and maintain positive mental health and resilience. Sarah incorporates a variety of Interventions including:

Areas Of Interest

Sarah has an interest in working with adolescents and adults presenting with a range of diagnosis. Sarah has a particular interest in supporting Drug and Alcohol recovery, Trauma related presentations and helping individuals improve the quality of their lives.

Experience

Sarah’s professional experience includes roles in alcohol and other drug services, disability, aged care, private practice and, most recently, Queensland Corrective Services. Throughout her career, she has worked with children, adolescents and adults presenting with a broad range of psychological, neurodevelopmental and behavioural concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, Autism, personality disorders, substance use disorders, domestic and family violence, and complex psychosocial presentations.

In addition to therapeutic intervention, Sarah has extensive experience conducting psychological, cognitive and neurodevelopmental assessments. She has completed specialist training in ADHD, Autism, trauma, personality disorders and eating disorders, and is currently completing Master’s degrees in Forensic Mental Health and Clinical Neuroscience.

 Sarah holds a: 

  • Diploma of counselling,
  • Diploma of alcohol and other drugs,
  • Bachelor of Psychological Science, 
  • Bachelor of behavioural science (Honors), 
  • Is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and
  • Is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi); International Neuropsychological Society (INS); Australian Society for the Study of Brain Impairment (ASSBI)
