Referrals Made Simple

Sarah K Psychology welcomes referrals from GPs, psychiatrists, case managers, NDIS support coordinators and insurers. We understand how important it is to find the right fit for your patient or client, and we aim to make the referral process as simple as possible.

Our preferred way to receive referrals and correspondence is by secure messaging through Medical Objects or HealthLink, which connects directly to our practice system. Fax and email are also accepted.

Referral Information

Sarah K Psychology accepts referrals for adults under a Mental Health Treatment Plan. Sessions under a Mental Health Treatment Plan are bulk billed, so there is no out-of-pocket cost for your patient.

Please forward the Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral letter before the initial appointment. We will write back to you after the initial consultation, the 6th session and the 10th session, so you stay informed about your patient’s care.

Sarah K Psychology is a registered provider for WorkCover Queensland and WorkSafe Victoria.

Please send the referral, claim number, insurer details and approval before the first appointment. Progress reports are provided at the intervals the scheme requires.

Sarah K Psychology works with self-managed and plan-managed participants. We are currently unable to accept NDIA-managed participants.

Please send the participant’s details, NDIS goals, plan dates and plan manager details. Therapy can focus on behaviour engagement, communication and problem-solving skills, and can include family meetings.

Assessments are charged at a fixed fee rather than billed hourly up to the plan limit.

DVA

Sarah K Psychology provides services to veterans and their dependants who hold a DVA health card, billed directly to DVA.

QPS SelfRefer

Queensland Police Service members can self-refer confidentially, without a GP referral, for up to 6 sessions per financial year, with a further 3 sessions available if approved.
